2020 Toyota Camry Will Offer All-Wheel Drive
October 09 2020, Grand Toyota
For the first time since 1991, the Toyota Camry will be available with all-wheel drive. Announced earlier this year, the return of the Toyota Camry AWD will be welcomed by those who know the advantages of this type of powertrain in winter.
Offered beforehand on the Camry from 1988 to 1991 and called AllTrac, all-wheel drive is making a comeback on the new Camry in 2020 and will be available on the LE, XLE, SE, and XSE models. It can be paired with the 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 203 horsepower or the powerful V6 that delivers more than 300 horsepower. We don't yet know the price of the option, but we know that it will be available in 2020.
Several consumers had sent letters to Toyota or published on the manufacturer's Facebook page to request the return of all-wheel drive on the Camry. It appears that Toyota has heeded these calls.
With the availability of all-wheel drive, the 2020 Toyota Camry offers even more versions and reasons to look into it. The Camry is also available as a hybrid that averages just 4.9 litres per 100 kilometres in the city and 4.8 litres per 100 kilometres on the highway. It’s hard to ask for better fuel economy from a mid-size sedan.
